How do you put the final touches on a render, or spot fix small issues? This is always a problem, and its especially complicated with NPR styles that need to avoid looking too 3D. My latest project experimented with rendering the passes of my shader out separately, then recombining them in a new file as textures. This allowed me to get the best of 3D, compositing, and a digital paint layer stack to make corrections and add new elements that Eevee doesn't support.

This builds on my previous tutorials on Rendering Paint Layers and Changing Materials by Layer.

This video is a breakdown of my whole setup/process, how I used it, and how to make it yourself.

The Cybergirl Full 3D model file, as well as the full project files, are all available in the latest BNPR.org BEER render engine fundraiser pack. This is the only place to get the actual character model file, and the best value.

The basic shader and paint stack template files, as well as the actual project paint stack file($), are available on Gumroad.
